Now Introducing Our Newest Game, Pantheon!

The time has come, the gods are assembling! In Pantheon, you must build up your army to take advantage of the coming storm. Build up the board, and when the time is right, strike. Summon gods and monsters from all across the mythological universe to battle it out. But once the storm has passed, the player with the most powerful empire will claim victory, and the rest will fall.

In Pantheon, every game is unique. Pantheon comes with a multitude of different sets that you can mix and match all you want to create fun, exciting, and new scenarios. You can pit Zeus up against Ra or Thor against the Jade Emperor; the combinations are infinite.

How Does Pantheon Work:

Sets: Pantheon comes with several different sets, representing different Pantheons of gods from the Greek to the Norse to Chinese. Every game will be different because you can mix and match different sets (1 for every player), and even within the sets, you can choose what gods and monsters to use for a fresh and exciting game every time.

Deck: The primary element of the game revolves around the deck, which has monster, event, and location cards. You can play location cards on the board to reveal new areas to conquer and unique benefits for occupying them. Event cards allow you to make a big move and potentially alter the course of the game. Monster cards will summon beasts to help you take territory and outmaneuver your opponents. You do play cards from a communal hand, though, so you want to make sure you don't leave anything too valuable where others can get to it, or you risk losing the advantage.

Turn: On your turn, you can play a card from the communal hand and take one action for every location you occupy. There are many different things that you can do, so you will need to make sure to be efficient and strategic. Resources can help you do actions better, but you won't have a lot of them so carefully saving them is quite important.

Battle: At the end of your turn, every location that you have moved into that was already occupied will see a battle take place. Forward planning is vital because if you don't have the resources or troops to back your plan up, it will inevitably fail. The loser will be forced to retreat, and if you plan well enough, they might have to go through a gauntlet of your troops losing more with every defeat.

Scoring: Once the deck runs out, the game is over, and the player that controls the most locations, monsters, and gods will be crowned the winner.

Playtesting:

Playtesting is one of the most exciting parts of creating any new game. From the moment you start, the possibilities are endless, and you know you are taking your first step towards a mighty accomplishment. We hold playtesting to a rigorous standard that includes allowing people outside of our studio to try the game before it is released. If this sounds interesting, please fill out the form below, and you can become an official Gobi Games playtester. All playtesters will receive a playtester credit in the final rulebook once it is published!

To help us speed up our game development, we need as many people to help playtest as we can. We have started to email people who have signed up to playtest to give them the print files so that they can get started. This will earn you a thank you on our website, a credit in the final rulebook, and a chance to win a special prize! Signing up earlier will help boost your chances of winning, so put your email down today!
